i dont trust neither carbon or nylon tips . the stick marks turn ur ride cymbals unmusical because the buildup of those very unmusical materials in the grooves of the ride turns it to crp. wood is natural and is musical in itself. probably helps turn the cymbal a little more mellow. wood tip all the way
Thank you for watching. That is just my opinion, we are all free to think and use whatever we want. Please don't forget to subscribe and help us to grow this drum community.
@@francisfernandezcappola oh yeah millions of folks use nylon tip, i dont know about carbon tip, a bit less common. so they cant all be wrong. i just have highly sensitive ears to the slightest change, and i noticed my ride cymbal the sound degrading very quickly.

bro, if you did this video with real kick drum, video would be usefull
Thank you. I will be working on Part II with real kick. Don't forget to subscribe.
Depends on how big the bass drum is 16 18 20 22 24 26 to the center of kick drum my man
Yes, of course i just test them on the bass drum pad. It's the same surface for all the beaters. Thank you for watching ❤️

Just got my first two pairs and they are awesome-2B Black Diamonds🤘 Great drumming sir!
Hahaha thank you. Don't forget to subscribe the channel. 💪💪💪💪
When you say the beater hits your foot, can't you just adjust your pedal so it doesn't hit your foot?
Of course i can adjust. But if i decrease the angle of the beater it gets difficult.
Great video, my friend. Your detailed review of each pedal is very helpful to many, I’m sure. I played an Iron Cobra 900 for like 20 years and just recently got a new one (the Blackout Edition) and it’s awesome. I also have a Speed Cobra 900 and a DW5050 (Carbon Fiber) and love these as well. All for different reasons.. the IC has an excellent balance of power and speed whereas the SC is much smoother and lighter, great for speed with a bit less power. The 5000 is nice for power and it’s smooth but much heavier feeling than the other two… I like this the least, but I find it best for slower music like jazz or fusion, more bombastic playing. I feel like the 9000 will be a great all around pedal and one I should probably get in the near future! I always get double kicks since I do play double bass occasionally.
Hey, thank you for your comment. I agree with what you said. 💪💪💪

Less effort and speed is what I am after - the benchmark I want to get as close to is the Trick pro1v but I don’t want to spend £1200. So am looking at either the dyna sync or the pearl demon xr doubles
For the price choose Dyna Sync, but both are great.
You are smart , even for a middle eastern but it’s all based on lies that baskin robins set :(
I had a stroke reading the caption.
😅😅😅😅
¿what about DW 9000?
Check out the other video where i tested the DW9000 and please don't forget to subscribe. Thank you for watching.
It’d be cool if we could hear the result.
I have a new video testing and taking about this snare available in a few weeks. subscribe to get notified. Thank you for watching.
Which model of Tama are you playing bro?
Starclassic Maple
Nice review. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the para clamp with the nut at the beginning caught my attention. I have a speed cobra 910 that's maybe a year or two old and that nut doesn't exist. It's a round disc now easily turned by hand. Also - if you want a KILLER MODIFICATION, try this. I installed the Pearl cam mount from an old Eliminator pedal I had. Fits the hexaganol Tama shaft perfectly! Added a strap drive from ACD and now I have the option to switch cams! Best combination ever! Total modification time - 15 minutes! In addition, if you're looking for some awesome beaters, 2 that are NOT in your reviews are the Ninja kick beater, which has a spring on the beater head - extremely fast! Another one I just got delivered today is the Flex Dynamic Beater, 70 grams. Also surprisingly fast, but comfortable to play due to the Flex shaft. You'll have no trouble finding their websites or some UA-cam vids. Cheers!
The original Tama nut is not good. I always change it. Thank you for watching and for your recommendations. I'll be working on a 2nd video of bass drum beaters. I will include these ones, Ninja kick beater & Flex Dynamic Beater. Don't forget to subscribe it really really appreciate your words and help.
I can't remember the brand, but I use a lightweight Felt/Plastic beater using the plastic side. I have E-Kit so the main thing ain't the volume it creates, just the quickness. They are very similar to the Pearl DB100 (they might even be those). This seems like the best choice for me
Please let me know which model and brand is. Thank you.
Speed Cobra 910 with Direct Drive conversion does make a big difference
I believe so. 💪💪💪
Convert mine with gibraltar kevlar strap/belt drive
There is no point in comparing beaters on a practice pad... Most of these beaters are made different so it changes sound not just performance. Pls do this again on a real bass drum.
I can try to do the PART II of this with new different bass drum beaters. Thank you for watching ❤️
ALL THESE BOARDS ALL DO THE SAME THING...NOTHINGS CHANGED IN YRS😂😂😂
you're talking about the noise??
What else would you do with them? Not alot of room for improvement
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 yes but the Dyna Sync is not so noise. At least I don't have any problem with my pedal.
@@francisfernandezcappola Had mine since launch. There's nothing better than these. I don't even like the new Pearl one.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 have to agree 💪💪💪

@@francisfernandezcappolaDo you think that those curvy metal holders at the bottom of Tama Dynasync will break with using the slide technique a lot?
@@fruitfly5226 no way. I'm using (and abusing) Dyna-Sync for more than 1 year and it's sill perfect.
@@francisfernandezcappolaHave you done any videos playing two of the same hi hat stands at once? I wanted to buy two Tama stands to use.
@fruitfly5226 now i'm using the HH stand from Speed Cobra, in the past i used the Iron Cobra HH Stand. Honestly, they are all good, i just switch from Iron Cobra t *o Speed Cobra because of th* e pedal design.
I have always liked the red danmar wood beaters,or better,on my speed cobra is a blue hardwood innovative percussion brooks wackerman signature beater, ill, try the trick when i get a chance.
Trick are underrated. Believe they are really good.
Has anyone used these on an electric drumset like a Roland TD-50? I have a pesky neighbor and I'm running out of options. Thanks!!
I know it works in mesh heads. The guys from tama told me it also work on e-drumkits.
Awesome. Thank you! It also helps that you didn’t see wear after 8 months. Great quality!
@@rramos07 yes, awesome material
The loud metronome noise is deeply unnecessary
Sorry Dude. I know but i was on a drum shop. Latest videos don't have metronome. Thank you for watching ❤️
@@francisfernandezcappola No worries, I'm over it now. I was just eating while watching the vid and the testing of the pedals started. I'm just generally more grumpy while eating haha! Thanks for the good vid 🤟🏻
@@dudee499 thank you
Wasted equipment on high school level playing. Work on your sound and practice.
Dude, this is the detailed review I was looking for! Subscribed
Thank you ❤️
Another awesome video, my friend!
Obrigado. 🙏
I know you put a lot of thought and effort into this video but .... I felt that was too much talking and trying them on a plastic head was just a clacky noise. If you do a video on an acoustic bass I would find that interesting
Thank you for watching Paul ❤️
I enjoyed your video. After experimenting with 10s of different beaters I would agree with almost everything you said. I found that slightly heavier beaters like Trick Dominator at 3.4oz (96gr) work the best for me on acoustic drum heads as far as the acoustic sound goes without triggers etc. I enjoy the Trick ProV beaters on practice pad and/or electric drums.
Thank you for watching 💪💪💪💪❤️
Hi Francis nice review again thank you but could you pls review also pearl quad beater and old standart tama IC beaters which they are most used beaters thanks again
Hey. Thank you. I can on the next video
i got them after using chains for years. They are superb without any adjustment. Just need to see how long they last
I agree with you 100%.
Hello, excellent comparison video of all those pedals, very appropriate for people who do not have the opportunity to try them directly, it would be great if we did something in another video but with the trick Drum pedals, thank you. 👍🏻
I want to try Trick and Czarcie Kopyto. Thank you David. Don't forget to subscribe, new videos every month!!!
I have Yamaha fp9c and it suits great for me very good pedal great control and i also have Iron Cobra hp900 power glide which is also a great pedal
I had no idea why, but i didn't like the Yamaha. I know it's a good pedal, but i couldn't control it. :)
@@francisfernandezcappola i think that's from setup more likely
the speed cobra is the best chain pedal ever made
I have to say you're right. But i prefer the Dyna Sync.
i hate direct driving pedals there is no feeling in any of them dyna sync i really like pedals with the same chain @@francisfernandezcappola
@@ersenblaster4660 it's your opinion that's ok. 💪
Why would you bother with a chain when you don't need to?@@ersenblaster4660
yeah, i've definitely got some noise on my speed cobra...the good news, is that it's not picked up for live performance, but in recording can definitely be an issue
It is a issue. There are several ways to reduce it but it's annoying. Don't forget to subscribe
video pops up and i'm like ''ohhh lefty drummer'' then i realize, wait we're drummers we're basically ambidextrous on a drum set haha. Great playthrough!

Yikes brother. You got some missing fills and the ending is not even close. Tool is super hard to cover, prolly why I don't do any. Might look at some other vids and maybe re-create this one. I'm gonna watch some more of your stuff and either way dude, ya got a sub. Constructive criticism so don't take this like I am doggin ya. You got some chops on ya definitely.
